LINDA BLAIR & KEN FOREE HONORED
AT INTERNATIONAL HORROR AND SCI-FI FILM FESTIVAL!

[ PICTURES COMING SOON ]

Phoenix, AZ (October 29, 2007) – Breaking last year’s attendance record,  thousands of horror sci-fi movie lovers turned out in honor of the 3rd annual weekend long festival, which took place October 19-22. The third year of this cross genre festival offered more than 61 films, special celebrity guests, a “super secret” screening of Richard Kelly’s Southland Tales, panel discussions, a zombie walk, parties and more!

“This year our festival took off! The attendance was off the charts as film fans literally came from across the country to immerse themselves in the unique experience we offer,” stated festival director Brian Pulido.

Actress and attendee, Linda Blair, the undisputed horror icon and star of The Exorcist, was inducted into the International Horror Sci-Fi Hall of Fame along with fellow horror actor, Ken Foree, the ultimate zombie killer and star of the original Dawn of The Dead. The Dawn of The Dead event with Ken Foree was sponsored by Midnight Movie Mamacita and Ican Smell Your Brains.com.

Also in attendance were actress Claudia Christian (Babylon 5), screening her film The Hidden and actor Michael Beck, star of The Warriors, who screened and viewed his film for the first time since it’s original opening!

Four films that made their debuts at the festival are now under consideration for distribution through After Dark Horrorfest. “Smart filmmakers took advantage of our first look deal with After Dark,” says festival Director Brian Pulido.

The festival, a program of the Phoenix Film Foundation, was presented by Halloween Express and sponsored by After Dark HorrorFest, Harkins Theaters, The Arizona Republic, Edge 103.9, Linda Blair WorldHeart Foundation, University of Advancing Technology, Eternal Entertainment, MMA Advertising and Moosehead Beer. Additional sponsors include Metro Arts, Halo Piercing, Film Phoenix, Red Planet Designs, Phoenix Comic Con, Midnight Movie Mamacita, I Can Smell Your Brains.com, Arizona Roller Derby, Arizona Renaissance Festival, Zombie Prom and more.
